Silver Road Launch in Melbourne
When: 8pm, Friday 4th August
Where: foyer of the Victoria Hotel, 215 Little Collins St (the site of Continuum 4, Melbourne’s annual sf convention).
This will be a joint launch with Eidolon I, an anthology edited by Jeremy Byrne and Jonathan Strahan, Eidolon Books. My story “The Conquerer” is in the anthology, so it’ll be an extra special evening for me. I wrote this story in my first week at the Clarion workshop in 2004, or rather, while I was hanging around Michigan State University the week before waiting nervously for the workshop to begin. I haven’t seen a copy of Eidolon I yet, but there are lots of great writers in it and I’m sure it will be a great book. I think I’m especially excited because it has this beautiful cover art by Shaun Tan:
The Silver Road in the warehouse
I have been informed by a reliable source that my novel The Silver Road is in the warehouse. It should be in shops at the beginning of August. Check back soon for launch details for Brisbane and (possibly) Melbourne.
Here is a thumbnail of the front cover. You can click on it to see it full size.
